Judge Clinic

Time: 11am – 1pm
Cost: $80 per person (parents encouraged to attend for only an additional $20)

In this unmounted clinic, you will learn the judge’s perspective about:

  • Horse show terms/vocabulary
  • How a good hunter should move
  • Equitation in’s and out’s
  • Proper attire and presentation
  • Appropriate horse show equipment
  • What equipment is legal for different classes
  • Proper use of a crop in a horse show
  • What to look for in a jumping class
  • Determining ribbon placement
  • Good horsemanship and sportsmanship

There will be riders demonstrating the correct and incorrect points when necessary.
